Farm Goals
Not everyone has the same farm goals. Some people may have a goal of leaving their farm to
heirs, while others intend to use their farms for retirement income. We will meet with
your farm's advisory team to develop realistic farm goals. Based upon your own goals,
we help you manage your farm to accomplish your intended purpose.
Farm Income Objectives
After working with you to establish your farm goals, farm income objectives are a natural
outgrowth of that process. We work to help you meet your income objectives for retirement,
investment growth, or capital gains appreciation.
Tenant Selection
As a landowner, you want someone to take care of your land, limit erosion, and maintain
productivity. Finding tenants who are skilled and financially responsible is critical in
today's economy. We can help you screen potential tenants and select one that will help you
meet your goals and objectives. We can also serve as a professional farm manager to
physically oversee the farm, monitor expenses, and keep track of income for the absentee
landowner or retiree.
Lease Negotiation
Negotiating a farm or ranch lease can mean the difference between profit and loss.
We will work with the landowner and tenant to negotiate a fair lease agreement.
Marketing Management
One of the hardest tasks of a farm owner or farm manager is marketing commodities.
We ease that burden by helping you sell your grain or livestock.
Environmental Monitoring
Taking care of the environment has become a public issue in the past 15 years. Landowners
are responsible if their farm ground is contaminated from previous spills or heavy metals
inadvertently dumped in prior years. Other environmental issues that may need to be addressed
include: tree planting, wildlife habitat, soil and water conservation, or establishing new
water sources. We can evaluate and monitor your farm's environment and work with you to
establish environmental goals for each farm.
