preparing a working business plan.

business the best it can be. Please give me a call for assistance with any of the following:

- · Feasibility Studies
- · Business Plans

- · Financial Analysis
Pre-feasibility Studies
Pre-feasibility studies are complicated, but crucial. I can assist you with: surveying
potential associates regarding their interest in a joint venture; running an organizational
meeting of interested growers; discussing legal forms of business; appointing or electing a
committee to make decisions for the group; and reporting findings back to the producer group.
Feasibility Studies
The correct time to do a feasibility study is after a committee determines the
needs of the organization. If your producer group is not familiar with the
process, a business consultant can guide you through it. A feasibility study
will reveal important information such as realistic start-up costs and other
unknowns. It will answer also questions such as:
- (1) Where is the market for our product?
- (2) Who are our customers?
- (3) Can we capture any by-product value from processing?
- (4) What will the overhead costs be to operate our own facility?
- (5) How much revenue do we need to generate a break-even financial position?
A primary function of a feasibility study is to allow planners to state their
ideas and research findings on paper, aiding in decision making before
implementing them. In this way many pitfalls may be avoided.
Business Plans
The business plan contains additional, essential business elements that the feasibility does
not. A business plan lays out a road map to follow for 3-5 years. Things can change along
the way, but a business plan provides a guide. Contingencies are planned for while preparing
a business plan so the business owner knows what cash flow is required to make the business
work.
Business Valuations
There is a correct way to determine the value of a business. Gross sales or guessing what
someone will pay for it cannot determine a business value. The correct method is looking at
the bottom line after adjustments are made in the tax returns and financial statements.
I can correctly determine the value of your business or of one you want to buy.
Financial Analysis
Financial analysis is the use of management tools to evaluate and direct your resources.
This may include evaluating your business for efficiency and profitability. This analysis
is then followed by implementation of a specific plan of action.
